Perth City

Perth Bell Tower "Capital city of Western Australia"

WA's capital city Perth is home to more than 1.8 million people and one of the most spread out capital cities in the world. Named after the famous black swans which can be seen on the river, Perth has a number of natural landscapes including the beautiful Kings Park, home to 400 hectares of natural Australian bush overlooking the city. One of the most popular tourist sports a short ferry trip from Perth is Rottnest Island home to the famous Quokka.

There are several parts of Perth worth visiting. Fremantle is a lively hub of entertainment, food, and culture situated where the river mouth meets the Indian Ocean. Northbridge also boasts a rich entertainment centre and is a great place to go for a variety of cuisines and Perth night life. You might also like to take a short trip to the outskirts of Perth up into the Swan Valley for some great places to wine, dine and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Kings Park

Perth is one of those rare cities which boasts a large portion of uncleared land literally only a few kilometers from the city center. At night you can see the city skyline lit up from the elevated view point, and even take a stroll along the board walk. Kings park is a great place to go for picnics, concerts (in the summer time), and even a coffee or a meal. There is plenty of native bushland you can walk or ride through and several Perth tours operate from here.
